Promat UK is a market leading supplier of sustainable fire, thermal and acoustic solutions. Promat supply a wide range fire resistant glass cut to size in a variety of markets, which include the PYROCET®, PYROSEC® and SMOKESTREAM® brands along with the complete fire rated glazing solution SYSTEMGLAS®. A wide variety of fire rated glass with fire ratings ranging from 30 minutes up to 120 minutes integrity (E) or integrity and insulation (EI) are offered for a range of applications, including partitions, screens and fire doors. The market leading leading fire rated glazing system, SYSTEMGLAS®, with the framing, glazing and components tested as a fully certified system. SYSTEMGLAS® is produced in-house, fitted by Promat-approved installers and a certificate of conformity is issued by Promat upon completion following an inspection for maximum reassurance.

Promat’s knowledge and expertise provides clients with fully integrated design solutions that deliver required levels of fire protection across refurbished and new build properties. The company works closely with a wide range of customers, providing comprehensive support and advice including; Architects/Specifiers, OEM Partition manufacturers, joinery companies, glazier companies and OEM Door fabricators.

Promat UK is a division of Etex Industry and has been located at the Heywood site since May 2015, where its specialist and fire resistant glass processing lines are housed. The company continues to invest in its manufacturing facilities to deliver better efficiencies and improved customer support and satisfaction.

Promat continue to push the development of fire protection systems further, constantly searching for improvement for the construction industry as a whole through representation at trade associations, BSI and CEN technical committees.

Promat's fire rated glass segment is a member of the following trade bodies and organisations. 

Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF)

The Glass and Glazing Federation (GFF) represents companies that manufacture, supply or install glass and glazing products in the UK and internationally. Promat is active in the Fire Resistant Glass & Glazing Group (FRGG) who have undertaken a number of initiatives, the latest of which is the training of glass/glazing installers to a level of competency for the installation of fire resistant glass.

British Woodworking FederationBritish Woodworking Federation (BWF)

The British Woodworking Federation (BWF) is the trade association for the woodworking and joinery manufacturing industries in the UK with over 700 members. Promat is actively involved in the management committee of the Fire Door Division, which covers the full plethora of joinery, including timber fire doors with glass vision panels.

RIBA Providers Network

Promat UK is a member of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) Providers Network. As part of the RIBA Providers Network, Promat educate architects and specifiers on fire rated glass by presenting CPD's and attending roadshows throughout the country.
